8th Meeting of the Central and Eastern Europe Data Protection Authorities

The 8th meeting of the Group the Central and Eastern Europe Data Protection Authorities was held in Varna, Bulgaria, on 24-26 May 2006. The deliberations were devoted to the processing of personal data in relation to video surveillance and geolocalisation. Issues related to freedom of expression, political marketing and the implementation of the Schengen acquis were also discussed.
