We invite elementary schools, secondary schools, and teacher-training institutions that wish to enrich their educational programs with current topics related to personal data protection and the right to privacy to participate. Applications are accepted via an online form.

The informed student in the digital world

Artificial intelligence, social media, algorithms, and new technologies are having an increasingly strong impact on the daily lives of young people. In a world where personal data is becoming a valuable resource and information can be used to influence and manipulate audiences, the ability to make informed decisions, protect one’s privacy, and use digital tools responsibly takes on particular importance.

The “Your Data—Your Concern” program supports schools in addressing these challenges in practice. The goal of the 17th edition of the program is to develop the knowledge and skills that will enable students to better understand the digital world, protect their personal data, and use new technologies more responsibly.

Among the most important topics of this year’s edition will be:

•       Cybersecurity and privacy in the world of new technologies –

including the safe use of artificial intelligence and the responsible management of digital identity.

•       Protecting one’s online image – with a particular focus on the risks associated with deepfake technology.

•       Disinformation and manipulation online – recognising false content and understanding the impact of algorithms on the decisions and behaviors of internet users.

•       Personal data security—including the protection of health-related data and the responsible use of online games and social media.

•       Privacy, well-being, and mental health—developing healthy digital habits and awareness of the consequences of online activity.

Program participants receive support from the Personal Data protection Office experts

Participation in the program not only provides an opportunity to carry out valuable educational activities throughout the school year, but also offers access to free materials and subject-matter support that will help teachers address current and important topics.

The materials cover current challenges related to the development of digital technologies and practical aspects of personal data protection in young people’s daily lives. This will provide teachers with support in conducting lessons that address students’ real needs and help them make more informed decisions online.

Together, we are building a culture of respect for privacy

The “Your Data—Your Concern” program engages the school community in activities aimed at protecting personal data and the right to privacy. Every year, hundreds of schools from across Poland, thousands of teachers, and tens of thousands of students participate in the program. Together, they conduct lessons, workshops, projects, and events that demonstrate how education about privacy and digital safety can be practical, engaging, and relevant to young people’s everyday experiences. Participation in the program offers an opportunity to develop the skills of students and teachers, enrich the school’s educational offerings, and foster attitudes based on responsibility, respect for privacy, and the mindful use of new technologies.

We invite you to the 17th edition of the program.

Participants gain access to free educational materials, webinars, and training sessions, as well as expert knowledge and opportunities to collaborate with schools throughout Poland.
