Data Protection and Cybersecurity - Conference in Katowice
The Personal Data Protection Office has assumed honorary patronage of the academic conference titled “Contemporary Challenges in Public Administration and Business.” The event will take place on June 15, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the University of Economics in Katowice. The event is organised by the Department of Economic Law at the University of Economics in Katowice in cooperation with the Personal Data Protection Office, the Social Team of Experts by the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, and academic partners.
The conference will provide an opportunity to discuss current challenges related to personal data protection, cybersecurity, and information security in the operations of public entities, educational institutions, and businesses.
The program included presentations by representatives of the Personal Data Protection Office and the Social Team of Experts advising the President of the Personal Data Protection Office on the practical application of personal data protection regulations. The conference program also includes presentations by experts representing public administration, the academic community, and practitioners working in the fields of personal data protection, cybersecurity, and information security. Conference participants will have the opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss the challenges facing the public sector and businesses in the era of rapid digital technology development.
