Meeting on employment challenges

The President of the Personal Data Protection Office, Mirosław Wróblewski, together with his colleagues and representatives of the Social Team of Experts by the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, met with representatives of the Employment Agencies Association and the HR Forum. The purpose of the meeting was to gain a mutual understanding of the phenomena related to temporary work practices.

Participants drew attention to the complexity of the relationship between existing labour law regulations and market realities, emphasising the need for a broader, practical view of the problems occurring in employer-employee relations. They pointed to the need to analyse employment processes in a comprehensive manner, taking into account both regulations and actual practices applied by labour market entities.

During the discussion, issues related to the responsibility of entities involved in recruitment processes, the protection of employees' personal data, and work safety and organisation were raised. Attention was also drawn to the challenges that arise at various stages of recruitment and to the importance of education and awareness-raising in the field of personal data protection.

The need for further debate and the development of common guidelines that could contribute to greater transparency and security in employment processes was emphasised. The conclusions from the meeting will be used by the Personal Data Protection Office and the Social Team of Experts by the President of the Personal Data Protection Office in the preparation of relevant provisions on personal data protection in relation to the specific nature of temporary work in the forthcoming guide on employment issues.
