
The Personal Data Protection Office at Pol'and'Rock Festival 2025
The Personal Data Protection Office will take part in the 31st Pol'and'Rock Festival. Just like a year ago, experts from the Personal Data Protection Office will help to understand, inter alia issues related to security in the digital world and data protection and privacy in the context of new technologies. The Personal Data Protection Office’s programme of activities will cover all four festival days – from 30 July to 2 August.
During the entire event, the Personal Data Protection Office will operate in its own zone as part of the Academy of Fine Arts, which has been the venue of the most important meetings and debates of the festival for almost twenty years.
On the first day (30 July), Pol'and'Rock participants will be able to gain knowledge on any matter that concerns the security of their data and their privacy, they will receive legal assistance in the field of personal data protection, they will learn about their rights in accordance with the GDPR and the Act on the Protection of Personal Data, and they will learn how to react in the event of abuse. All this during the advice and consultations provided by the employees of the Personal Data Protection Office.
And from 31 July, festival-goers will be able to take part in educational meetings, lectures and discussions on the subject of data protection. This day will start with the slogan "Data protection and you". During the panel, issues such as the right to privacy protection, deepfake on the Internet, digital hygiene and the safety of using social networking sites will be presented. Between the speeches, all interested parties will be able to take part in games and quizzes showing the problems of data protection and privacy in an accessible way.
On the second day (1 August), specialists from the Personal Data Protection Office and the Social Team of Experts at the President to the Personal Data Protection Office will focus on children's rights in the digital world, which is one of the most important and recently most frequently analysed social issues in the media. During this panel, the guest of one of the talks will be Konrad Ciesiołkiewicz from the State Commission for Counteracting the Sexual Abuse of Minors under 15 years of age. Other topics will include those concerning, inter alia the presence of minors on social networks, online manipulation or modification of images of children in photographs. On that day, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, Mirosław Wróblewski, will also answer questions from the audience.
The third festival day (2 August) in the Personal Data Protection Office zone will be dominated by the slogan "New technologies and security". An important point will be a conversation between Mirosław Wróblewski and the chairman of the Social Team of Experts to the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, Mirosław Gumularz, entitled "Data as currency. Data protection today and tomorrow". The Office's specialists will also discuss issues such as the security of ID cards or the risks associated with dating and health apps.
