The President of the Polish SA met with the President of the Association of DPOs

Mirosław Wróblewski, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, together with Konrad Komornicki, the Deputy President of the Personal Data Protection Office and employees met with representatives of the Association of Personal Data Protection Officers, including Jarosław Feliński, the President of the Association of Personal Data Protection Officers.

"Today's meeting drew our attention to many aspects faced by the environment of personal data protection officers. We have discussed specific problems and will work together to solve them. I am deeply convinced that the dialogue we have started with the DPO community, our open communication, will build strong relations with such an important environment that is a link between the Personal Data Protection Office and data controllers," said Mirosław Wróblewski, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.

During the meeting, the role of data protection officers and the process of their selection were discussed. Part of the discussion was devoted to the problem of selecting DPOs through the adjudication of competitions, where the only selection criterion is the price and quality of services provided by entities selected in this way. They discussed taking care of personal data in public institutions such as courts, administration or health care entities. In addition, the topic of information security in the digital world was discussed. Attention was also drawn to the need to expand education curricula to include elements of personal data protection, which is associated with the need to introduce changes in the education system at every stage.

The visit was the thirdone in a series of meetings between the President of the Personal Data Protection Office and organisations representing various circles of data protection officers.
